FAQ
HOW DO I BOOK IN?
Please use the booking in form on my website to enquire about a booking. I typically reply within seven days, please have reference images and money for a deposit ready to make the enquiry as streamlined as possible.
WHAT'S YOUR HOURLY RATE?
I don't have an hourly rate as I prefer to charge per piece. I can do my best to quote this once I know what size and placement the tattoo is along with a rough idea of the design. Although I currently charge a set price of £100 per hour for blacking out areas as a lot can be done in the short amount of time booked.
WHAT IS YOUR SCHEDULE?
Currently I work Tuesday to Friday, 12pm to 5pm. I work the occasional Saturday upon request.
DO YOU WORK OUT OF HOURS?
Upon enquiry this is something that can be discussed. I charge a rate of 1.5x my normal rate as I am using my personal time to fit you in outside of my normal working hours.
CAN I USE NUMBING CREAM?
Every tattooer has a different opinion on using numbing cream. I personally don't mind if you use it, as long as you use it correctly by reading the instructions on the tube and apply it before the appointment. I would keep in mind that when the cream does wear off, it makes the tattoo feel like it hurts even more than it does without the cream.
CAN I DRINK ALCOHOL?
Definitely don't drink alcohol 24 hours before your tattoo appointment as it thins your blood which can cause blowouts under the skin. It can also make you bleed more which makes my job harder! Plus nobody wants to be sat there hungover having a tattoo. However, you can drink after the tattoo is finished. Just make sure to keep your tattoo clean!
CAN I EXERCISE?
The first five days of a tattoo healing are the most important. If you get sweat or chlorine in your tattoo, you may cause infection. I would recommend not going to the gym, swimming or partaking in any strenuous physical activity for at least a week afterwards (ideally 2 weeks).
CAN I TAN?
Short answer: no. Avoid using sunbeds or exposing your tattoo to direct sunlight as this can irritate your tattoo and the effect of the UV rays will fade the ink. Especially don't use fake tan as you would be rubbing it into an open wound - this can turn the ink brown and also cause infection.
